The lives of two New York men become accidentally intertwined when they are involved in a Good Friday accident on FDR Drive. Late for a crucial appointment Gavin, a hotshot lawyer, tosses a blank check to Doyle and leaves the scene leaving him with a car that doesn’t run and causing him to be late for a custody hearing. A recovering alcoholic, Doyle’s tardiness doesn’t sit well with the judge, and he loses custody of his children. Blaming Gavin for this turn of events, Doyle withholds a crucial document that Gavin dropped at the scene. Thus begins an escalating war of words and deeds between the two men.
