Songkran is the Thai traditional New Year which stars on 13 April every year and lasts for 3 days. Songkran festival on April 13 is Maha Songkran Day, April 14 is Wan Nao and April 15 is Wan Thaloeng Sok. April 13-15, is the traditional Thai New Year. This is the time for Thais to pay homage to Buddha images, clean their house, and sprinkle water on their elders in a show of respect.

สงกรานต์ เป็นธรรมเนียมประเพณีของไทยที่สืบทอดต่อๆกันมา ในวันที่ 13 เมษายนของทุกๆปี สงกรานต์มีทั้งหมด 3 วัน เทศการสงกรานต์ในวันที่ 13 เมษายน เป็นวันมหาสงกรานต์, วันที่ 14 เมษายนเป็นวันเน่า, วันที่ 15 เมษายนเป็นวันเถลิงศก ในวันที่ 13--15 เป็นวันขึ้นปีใหม่ของไทย ในช่วงเวลานี้ จะมีการเคารพพระพุทธรูปในวัดต่างๆ มีการทำความสะอาดบ้านเรือน และรดน้ำดำหัวผู้อาวุโส เพื่อแสดงความกตัญญู
