The
following conversation, "At the Doctors" was written
in Thai and English by three Primary 6 students from Sriwittayapaknam
School. Awasada, Benjamaporn and Yonradee are 12 years
old. They also recorded the sound and produced this page.
The conversation
on this page is for listening practice only. It is for people
who have already started to learn Thai. Notice that the
patient uses "di-chun" for "I" as she
is female. The doctor would normally call herself/himself
"mor" which is Thai for "doctor" whenever
she refers to herself. However, you might notice that she
sometimes uses the polite "di-chun" and less formal
"chun" a few times.
