Every year, thousands of tourists come to our country and rent motorcycles and cars. This is actually easier to do than you think. But, please prepare yourself well if you intend to drive on our roads. When I was in Phuket a few years ago I twice passed foreigners who had crashed their motorcycles. None of them were wearing helmets and both just shorts and t-shirts. When driving around you will see a lot of sign in English and Thai and others are really obvious what they mean. You can even by maps which are printed in both languages.
