We
asked students from Sriwittayapaknam School to write some
telephone conversations using the following five different
situations:
1. You ring
a friend and his mother answers. She says your friend
has gone out to play football. You leave a message to
ask your friend to ring you back later. GO>>
2. You ring
a friend and his sister answers. You ask to speak to your
friend. When your friend comes to the telephone you ask
him if he has Malees telephone number. GO>>
3. You ring
a friend to have a chat. Her mother answers the telephone.
Your friend is not there. You ask her mother where she
has gone. You also ask her what time she will come back.
You say you will call back later. GO>>
4. You ring
to have a chat with a friend. She answers the telephone.
You ask her if she wants to watch a movie with you tomorrow.
You cannot hear her reply. You say the line is bad and
ask her to speak louder. GO>>
5. You ring
a friend but her father answers. He says that she cannot
come to the telephone because she is in the shower. He
tells you to ring back again in 10 minutes. GO>>

before they started writing the conversations.
